Lore Overview:

The Cult of the Umbraverse is the primary cult devoted to Nytherion, the Forgotten God who exists beyond memory and meaning. While other cults seek power through destruction or domination, the Umbraverse seeks the quiet unraveling of identity. They believe that by loosening the weave of the world—names, reflections, truths—they can hasten Nytherion’s awakening and allow the universe to collapse peacefully into non-being.

Members of the Umbraverse are rarely known by name. They perform rituals of memory erasure, dream severance, and mirror-breaking, all in service of unraveling the bonds that tether mortals to existence. They operate in ruined sanctuaries, collapsing dreamspaces, and shadow-touched fragments of the city where Nytherion’s influence leaks through.

The god of memory collapse, dream inversion, and mental disintegration, Nytherion grants its cultists powers over stealth, perception distortion, and sanity decay. It speaks only in fragments—impressions,  AND echoes—never directly.

Long before stars first burned, before even the dreaming of time, there was Nytherion — a being not born, but unmade from the unraveling of potential itself. It is said that Nytherion dwells beyond the boundaries of known reality, in a chasm called the Umbravice, where light is strangled in its cradle and memory fades like ash on the wind.
Nytherion is not simply darkness. It is the concept of the absence of existence made sentient. A void so ancient and vast that it remembers when there was nothing to remember. Scholars dare not speak of it by name; even the written glyphs for its presence slowly fade from pages and minds alike.
 

Connection to Eclipse of Memory (Mini-Game Event)

The Umbraverse’s ultimate goal is to complete all three phases of Nytherion’s reality-fracturing mini-game:

  • Fractured Reflections (Mirror Control)

  • Collapse of Names (Oblivion Fonts)

  • The Vanishing Point (Final Eclipse)

Each phase strengthens their ability to warp vision, drain sanity, and suppress Investigator perception—culminating in a battlefield transformed into Nytherion’s mental dream-labyrinth, where even the UI begins to flicker and hallucinate.

A savage melee powerhouse who charges into battle with overwhelming force. Built for frontline disruption with high physical damage and strong resistance to knockbacks and slows.
